There’s something I really love about photographing newborn sessions at home. It’s familiar, relaxed, and every family’s space brings something a little different to their photos.

This was my first time working with this family as they celebrated the arrival of baby number four! With three energetic older siblings, there was definitely no shortage of personality during this session. They kept me on my toes, made me laugh, and brought exactly the kind of energy you’d expect from three excited kids with a brand new sibling.

Their home also happens to have the most beautiful garden out front, so of course we had to take advantage of it! We stepped outside for some photos surrounded by all that gorgeous greenery before heading back in to focus on their newest little addition.

Newborn sessions with older siblings aren’t always quiet or perfectly posed and I wouldn’t expect them to be. Sometimes the best part is letting the kids be themselves while capturing this very short season of life.

Four kids, lots of energy, and one very loved new baby. ❤️
